Hello world, I guess the title explains my plight, please follow my lead. Today I plan to wear a smile on my face. Not just wear as in an article of clothing, yet a true smile because there is a positive future to look forward to guaranteed. Truthfully, I do not feel like smiling, yet I believe upbeat energy creates positive power. The goals you set today will be the accomplishments you celebrate tomorrow. So why reside with your lips twisted south, give yourself a moment and reflect upon the positive desires of your heart.t

Whether you are reading this article from a custom leather chair or sitting on paper because the person who used the seat before you was inconsiderate and left a mess, find an obligation to smile. Whether it is a display of all thirty-two pearls, a bulge from the lips or a small flex of the cheeks, find that smile that offers yourself peace. Today you should wear a smile that reflects, hope, possibility and the potential of gratification to come. As corny as it seems, positive energy comes from within. What better way to produce your desire for satisfaction, than just simply, smiling.

Observe the energy around you and add to it with a smile! Believe me I understand the ills of our current society. You can be experiencing situations that seemingly offer no hope. Stop the cycle with a smile and continue on in spite of the negative. I encourage you to do so for these reasons. I know from past experiences that one can allow positive change in their life just as easy as relying on an unhealthy vise to cap an uneventful day. I am not asking you to portray perfection, nor am I encouraging you to walk blindly led by false hope. “I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul, (William Earnest Henley)”. I am asking you to take responsibility of your own good fortune and start with a smile, “the softest thing in the universe overcomes the hardest thing in the universe, (Lao Tsu)”.

I can smile

Smile upon greeting with out condescending meaning

With out flex of my chest, intimidation without request

I can smile

Even though life has not a comforting seat

Like a young man failing to offer his to a woman dying to get of her feet

The upward flexion of my lips reminds me not to clench my fist

To think first than dismiss negative arrogance

I can smile

Knowing my thoughts wrinkle my face

Twisting my eyebrows south, depiction of an angry mans grace

I am happy, just caught up with emotion, hoping I’m not too late

Even though I can smile, I wait

I wrote that poem years ago, waiting to offer my smiles to better days. I know that those better days will not come unless you strive to obtain them your self. So, don’t wait, because one never knows how long the wait will last! Create a smile for yourself today and generate a greater possibility that you will never regret your past. Trust me, it works!
