According to the organizers, the session is aimed at women and girls ages 16 and older.  The agenda topics will cover the multi-pronged impacts of violence on an individual’s mental health, on the family unit, and effects on the community.  Also, available resources will be discussed and strategies to assist females experiencing abuse.

The city of Gardena is hosting the program. The event sponsors are Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and the nonprofits Connected to Lead and F.A.C.E. (fearless, artistic, charisma, elegance).
