Elzena Rankins was an intern at the Sentinel and worked in the Editorial department since last October. She’s a graduate of Cal State L.A. with a BA degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Rankins has written several articles, conducted interviews and contributed to numerous stories and commentaries.

She is currently studying for the GRE to return to school to obtain her Masters Degree. Rankins plans to attend either USC or NYU, leaving the possibilities of her focus open. She has a keen interest in the entertainment world, particularly music and television, and on social issues that revolve around young, Black women
