Senior Housing Development

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors today took steps to move forward with the construction of an $8 million, 62-unit senior housing development in the unincorporated West Athens-Westmont area.

The 105th Street Normandie Senior Housing project will have 55 one- bedroom and seven two-bedroom units in three floors.

Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas said the development hit a “high-water mark in terms of public-private projects” and would increase the supply of affordable multifamily housing in the area.

The board unanimously agreed to finance the project with up to $8 million in bonds.
