Judge Marguerite Downing of the Los Angeles Juvenile Court will speak at the Save Our Sons Prison/Justice Ministry on Sunday, May 20, at 2:30 p.m.

Pastor Leonardo Wilburn and the congregation of Crenshaw United Methodist Church host the monthly gathering at 3740 Don Felipe Drive in Los Angeles. The public is invited to attend.

A former public defender, Judge Downing has represented children in the juvenile delinquency system, said Dr. Delores Alleyne.

“As a judge, she is knowledgeable about all aspects of juvenile dependency and delinquency. Also, she has served on the Commission on Children at Risk and on a committee to re-unite children and incarcerated parents,” noted Dr. Alleyne.
