Pastor Donald R. Robinson

Where God directs, Dr. Donald Ray Robinson follows.  His obedience has taken him across the nation, leading churches, conducting revivals, and establishing outreach ministries.

Now, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the renowned evangelist has organized the Greater New Peaceful Will Missionary Baptist Church with the first service set for Sunday, August 26, at 11 a.m., at 5443 Long Beach Boulevard in the city of Long Beach.

“Our main mission is to proclaim and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Lordship of Jesus Christ,” said Dr. Robinson, who is launching the church with 119 members.

To fulfill these goals, Dr. Robinson and the Greater New Peaceful Will congregation plan to implement a wide range of ministries focused on evangelism, Bible Studies, youth and young adults, seniors, building families, literacy, computer training, and missions.

“We want to be a resource for outreach, education and spiritual growth to the community along with improving quality of life by training, mentoring, and preparing individuals to become functioning, contributing members of society,” he said.

Dr. Robinson will likely rely on experience gained during his nearly 50 years in the ministry.  Called to preach at the young age of six, he was ordained in 1966 and has since served as pastor to several parishes in Louisiana, Texas, California, and Ohio.  In addition, he has led ‘citywide’ revivals and church growth workshops throughout the United States.

As for executive management skills, Dr. Robinson’s resume includes previous service as director of the Home Mission Board for Region 7 (California, Oregon & Washington) of the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc.  Also, he held executive positions with the Providence Missionary Baptist Association (Los Angeles) and the Baptist Ministers Conference of Los Angeles and Vicinity.

All of his knowledge and godly wisdom will be aimed at spreading the word of God and building up Greater New Peaceful Will Missionary Baptist Church, said Dr. Robinson.

“We want to strengthen the Body of Christ on earth and give ourselves to the process of unity and maturity.”
