Robert F. Kealing Succumbs

Robert (Bob) F. Kealing, age 72, resident in the greater Los Angeles area, died Feb. 25, 2011.

The adopted son of Hightower T. Kealing and Fern S. Kealing, Robert came to California around 1947 while vacationing with his mother. The warm weather and sunshine enticed them to move from their home in Kansas City, Missouri to Los Angeles.

He attended public school in Los Angeles and matriculated through Wilberforce University in Ohio. Later in life he achieved advanced degrees in Spiritual Theology and in Applied Human Relationships.

He was employed by various companies and corporations as a computer programmer, information systems manager, senior technology consultant, and teacher. He loved music and played many instruments including piano, saxophone, and flute.

He is survived by is sons Christopher Kealing and Michael Kealing, and his grandchildren, Miles and Preston Kealing, and step-granddaughter D’ana Spencer.

Robert suffered a debilitating stroke in 2009 and died due to the lingering effects of that stroke. A memorial service for Robert was held on Friday March 04, 2010 at Altadena Baptist Church at 791 East Calaveras, Altadena California.
