List of competitors set to battle include Angela Rivera-Parr (USA), Julie Kitchen (UK), Rayen Simson (Netherlands), Marco Pique (Seriname), Liam Harrison (England), Eugene Ekklelboom (Australia), Mosab Amrani (Morocco/Holland), Patrice Quarteron (France), Dzhabar Askerov (United Arab Emirates), John Wayne Parr (Australia), Yodsaenklai Fairtex (Thailand), Buakaw Por. In addition and for the first time ever, Muay Thai rivals Nathan Corbett (Austraila) and Tyrone Spong (Netherlands) are set to fight in what is shaping up to be the most anticipated Muay Thai fight of the decade.
“We are very excited to announce our fifth series of cultural and sporting events to benefit Jamaica’s youth. For the past four years we have successfully helped over 60 schools,” said Richard Stephenson, CCGI Founder and President of CCGI and RISARC Foundation. “In addition to our annual golf championship, we once again will include the global phenomenon of Muay Thai martial arts and bring this sport to a global audience during the Champions of Champions II Muay Thai fight night.”
Each year the events composing the Caribbean Classic Golf Invitational attract celebrities, sports figures and comedians. Past participants include Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Bill Bellamy, Steve Harvey, Sandra “Pepa” Denton, Anthony Anderson, Tony Siragusa, Cedric “The Entertainer,” Jack Ford, Julie and Chandra Costello and more.
