Ms. Ameerah Abdullah and Mr. Quintin Daniels are two of twelve CBC scholarship recipients selected by Rep. Watson.

Rep. Watson recently selected twelve college students to receive a Congressional Black Caucus scholarship. The twelve scholarships totaled $10,000. For the past ten years the Congresswoman has participated in distributing CBC Scholarships to deserving students who not only excel academically but are committed to community service and leadership.

“As a former educator, I know first hand, the value of financing an education. I also realize that the cost of obtaining higher education can discourage students. I am so grateful to be able to offer scholarships to students who have demonstrated a passion for learning and community commitment,” said Rep. Watson.

Congratulations to the following CBC Scholarship recipients: Michael Gallego, Ameerah Abdullah, Tatiana Cole, Matthew Bowman, Ryane Noble, Quintin Daniels, Ashly Nikkole Davis, Vance Cunningham, Gabriele Noriega, Taliiah Broyard, Douglas Rosales, and Billy Chiriboga.
