On Friday, June 21 Congresswoman Janice Hahn (CA-44) held her annual senior briefing, luncheon and resource fair for over 700 senior citizens from her district. The Senior Briefing featured Congresswoman Hahn’s “State of our District Seniors” update, a Seniors Resource Fair, free health screenings, free lunch, information on free and low cost services for seniors and informative presentations from Federal, State, and local government agencies. Seniors had an opportunity to do a little Zumba and line dancing with Congresswoman Hahn to work off their lunch following the program.
“The Senior Briefing is an annual interactive workshop, resource and health fair designed to educate you all on the issues, federal programs and legislative policies that may have a direct impact on your lives,” said Congresswoman Hahn at the Senior Briefing. “As your member of Congress, it has been a great honor to represent this wonderful community. This is a new exciting experience for all of us. The 44th District never existed until now. It’s new for you and it’s new for me. This last year has been a wonderful opportunity for you to get to know me and me to know you. I have been home every weekend, meeting with our small businesses, our teachers, our workers, our families and with you. Your communities are beautifully diverse and rich in pride, opportunity and its people,” Hahn added.
