Religion Editor Niele Anderson Back on Radio

Los Angeles Sentinel Religion Editor Niele Anderson has returned to the local radio airwaves with a regular weekend show on 93.5 The Beat FM, it was announced recently.

Anderson, who for several years hosted the highly popular Sunday Mornings Gospel show on now defunct V100 FM, will now be hosting a regular  Saturday show from 10a.m. to 12-noon focusing on local news and community personalities.

The radio station known as the heart and soul of  Los Angeles, is also the home station for  national stars power Steve Harvey 'Morning Show' and Michael Baisden.

The station new strategy is also focusing on local community programming and Anderson's  a weekly two-hour segment highlights local news and community events.

Anderson began her Saturday commitment Oct. 25 and will beginning in  93.5 The Beat FM will re-launch Gospel programming with Anderson anchoring both shows.

The Gospel programming "Inspire Me Sundays" will include The Walt Baby Love Show, The KoKo Brothers Show, local church sermons and Anderson discussing local church news, events and playing inspirational/gospel music.  'Inspire Me Sunday's' will launch Nov. 9.

"It is an amazing and humbling experience to serve the community in such a cool and relevant outlet.  I truly thank general manager Karla Santos and The Beat FM family for having faith in my capabilities and the opportunity. With these two mediums print and radio I plan to provide inspiration, information and entertainment", said Anderson.

Santos was elated to make the announcement of Anderson, saying "we are glad to bring Niele aboard, she has a heart for the community.  We have some great surprises in store for our listeners and we are committed to building a station for the community with exciting local and national programming".

On Nov. 1 Anderson will host an exclusive interview  with 2nd District Supervisor candidates with Senator Mark Ridley-Thomas and Councilman Bernard Parks.
