Idris Elba Stars in New Thriller “No Good Deed”

Idris Elba is merciless in Sam Miller’s “No Good Deed”, Colin (Elba) is a charming stranger who smooth-talks his way into the home and world of Terri (Taraji P. Henson) a devoted wife and mother of two who lives an ideal life that takes a dramatic turn when her home and children are threatened by the dangerous escaped convict. When Colin shows up at her door claiming car trouble the unexpected invitation leaves her and her family terrorized and fighting for survival. Fans will see a different side of Elba who played the iconic South African president Nelson Mandela last December.  The thriller is set to release September 12.

Family Comedy “My Dad’s A Soccer Mom” Premieres Exclusively on UP

UP, the television network dedicated to uplifting viewers every day, presents the UP Original Movie “My Dad’s A Soccer Mom,” a fun, heartwarming family comedy about a star professional football player who bonds with his daughter on the soccer field after his football contract isn’t renewed.  The film stars football player “My Wife and Kids” Lester Speight, “The Game” Wendy Raquel Robinson “Jessie” Skai Jackson and “Growing Pains” Tracey Gold.  NFL Pro Bowler Terrell Owens, NFL Linebacker Adalius Thomas, NFL Running Back Dorsey Levens and Atlanta’s 680 The Fan & 93.7 FM sports talk radio DJ Chris Dimino will guest-star in the film. “My Dad’s A Soccer Mom” will premiere exclusively on UP on Saturday, June 21 at 7:00 p.m.  

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Set to Return for Seventh Season reports all six stars of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” are set to return for the upcoming seventh season, E! News is exclusively reporting. A source confirms to the site that despite the ladies’ differences, and rumors that at least one cast member would be out, Porsha Williams, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks, Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, and NeNe Leakes will all return to Bravo’s highest rated “Housewives” franchise. Season six drew to a dramatic close when Porsha dragged Kenya across the reunion show floor. At the time, there were rumors that neither woman would return to the show. Now, however, a source tells E! that Porsha and Kenya are currently finalizing their contracts, along with their four costars. Filming for the seventh season will begin soon, and will likely premiere in November.

Terry Crews to Host “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”

Terry Crews is set to become the new host of the syndicated “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” for the 2014–15 season.  He will replace former host Cedric the Entertainer, who hosted the season twelve. Crews is busy these days with his role as Sergeant Terry Jeffords in Fox’s comedy series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and in recently release comedy “Blended.” “Terry is engaging, endearing, smart, and quick on his feet, the perfect combination to lead one of the longest-running franchises in game show history,” said Janice Marinelli, president, Disney-ABC Domestic TV. “In addition to my film projects including “Blended,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and now being a first time author, hosting has always been a dream of mine, and I couldn’t have asked for a greater opportunity,” he said.  Catch Crews and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” this fall.

Nicole Ari Parker Lands Gig for TNT “Murder in the First”

Nicole Ari Parker stars in TNT drama “Murder in the First” as District Attorney Jacqueline Perez.  Parker played an attorney in Showtime series “Soul Food,” she re-enters the courtroom with the help of homicide detectives Terry English (Taye Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Kathleen Robertson) who investigates two different killings. As they dig deeper into both murders English and Mulligan find one common thread in their case.
