Movie goers love to see these actors on the silver screen. Whether they are playing the funny man, the dramatic do-gooder or action adventure type, they aren’t just film magnets but family men who don’t shy away from the camera with their children.

Man of the year, Kevin Hart is working nonstop premiering in blockbuster after blockbuster, however the comedian never fails to include daughter Heaven and son Hendrix in his high profile career.

Aside from being known for his Sci-fi films, Will Smith is also known for being a famous Hollywood father to three talented children, Jaden has co-starred with his dad in “After Earth” and “The Pursuit of Happyness.” Similar to her brother, Willow is both an actress and singer, both siblings are fixtures among the young Hollywood scene.  Smith’s eldest son Trey Smith starred in his father’s music video for the 1998 single “Just the Two of Us.”

Another Hollywood legend Eddie Murphy has a flock beautiful kids from his eldest daughters Bria L. and Shayne Audra Murphy who are models to youngsters Zola Ivy, Bella Zahra and Angel Iris Murphy Brown. Murphy has three sons Myles Mitchell, Christian Murphy and Eric Murphy.

Nick Cannon is a proud father of twin’s daughter Monroe Cannon and son Moroccan Scott Cannon. Cannon often captures the toddlers on his Instagram account.

Model turned actor Boris Kodjoe is a father to son Nicolas Neruda Kodjoe and daughter Sophie Tei-Naaki Lee Kodjoe.  

“The Butler” star Forest Whitaker has four children, Sonnet, True, Autumn and Ocean.

Oscar winner Denzel Washington is not only a talented actor but a father to four successful children, John David has played football for the St. Louis Rams, the Sacramento Mountain Lions and for Morehouse. Daughter Katia has a Bachelors of Arts from Yale University. Twins, Olivia is a blooming actress who played in Lee Daniels’s “The Butler,” Malcolm has a degree in film studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

Trailblazer Sidney Poitier set the stage for the Black actor, however, he too has shown what an actor, humanitarian and family man looks like in Hollywood. Poitier has four daughters, Beverly, Pamela, Sherri, Gina, Anika, and Sydney Tamiia who is an actress.

Bill Cosby played an adoring father on the “The Cosby Show,” however the on screen dutiful father has five children Erika Ranee, Erinn Chalene, Ensa Camille, Evin Harrah and Ennis William. On January 16, 1997, Ennis was murdered while changing a flat tire on the side of Interstate 405 in Los Angeles.

Political figures that are celebrated in the film industry are recognized as celebrity fathers. President Barack Obama has two growing daughters Sasha and Malia.  Political-Activist Al Sharpton has two daughters Ashley and Dominique Sharpton.

Actor Djimon Hounsou is not only an Oscar-nominee but a father to son Kenzo Lee Hounsou with fashion designer and model Kimora Lee Simmons. Hounsou is keeping busy with role in DreamWorks animation “How To Train Your Dragon 2.”  Hounsou lends his voice to the character Drago Bludvist, a dragon hunter. In an interview with, Hounsou reflected on his son seeing the film, “He enjoyed it! But I had to warn him first. I said, ‘you know how we play at home when you’re the superhero and I’m the bad guy…I’m playing the bad guy here. He was like, oh, okay!” On how he created a voice for Drago, “I went into the studio screaming and trying all kinds of things. I looked a bit strange but that is the freedom of expression. It’s just you and the microphone. The director is there guiding you and we discover the story as it is evolving.”
