Pull Your Diaper Up

Pull Your Diaper Up

May I have your attention please? Would someone change that sagging diaper on that grown ass child. It doesn’t make any sense to still in the year 2012 see a Black man or Brown man sagging like he is twelve months old and can’t find his moma. It is sad to see our people walking around with their ass showing in front of Madea and the church folks and we as a people allow this type of madness to continue. It is okay to express your dislike for any treatment you have received in your life. But don’t just disrespect us poor people and tell us to literally kiss your butt everytime we see you with the crack of your behind showing while you walk down the street. Every time you try and run away from the trouble that you create you either get shot or killed because you had your damn pants hanging off your butt. When I was growing up thinking and knowing that I was hard, I wore tailor made gear and hard surfaces gators to show myself how to shine. How can you still be sagging and we have a Black president in the black house? You can’t get on Air Force One with your pants hanging off your waistline.

In addition you look stupid sagging and wearing skinny jeans. If you are still sagging and you are over six months old you need to quit. Most of the homies that sagged back in the day did it because they didn’t want to wear tight jeans and shirts. Nowadays you are over forty and still buying tee shirts and khaki pants thinking that you are dressed up. Stop it! You look like a suspect waiting to get stopped. I can hear the police radio now looking for a man in a white tee shirt and sagging.

You fit the description and so do your children. In what ganstas movie with Al Capone, Madoff, Wall Street NASDAQ, stock market or any of them have you seen other ganstas sagging their pants. I have been to a few murder scenes where the victims were both shot and killed because they could not run due to their pants sagging.

We need to put our true identity back into perspective and dress for success and dress like a prospect not a suspect. Nowadays you have kids sagging in skinny jeans. I can understand them because one, they are children who are trying to make it home from school by looking as strange as possible so that the overgrown kids who are sagging won’t bother them. OOPS don’t forget the police who think that most kids that sag are hoods. Wrong! See, if you are sagging in Hollywood you are a rock star. If you are sagging in the hood you are selling rocks.

So now you have to know your audience and the hour. If we as a people would have stayed the course and continued along our already beaten path, by now our goals would have been just that much more closer to what and where we need to be. Every time members of our families are incarcerated for crimes that fit under the saggy pants act we set ourselves back in time.

Sometimes I think about all the sisters we as Black men have dogged.

What if we would of encouraged her to go to college. Man we slipped big time. If I knew then what I know now trust me, most if not all of my old street ways to get money would have been spent on sending some of my old queens to school.

Maybe that explains the saggy diaper syndrome. Let me digress for a second about something I feel inside at this present moment. It is how we allow our mothers and fathers to die defeated by this cold world? Why is it that we went off the path of God and found ourselves dealing with the wrongs of our inner selves, which is the graveyard of our most inner thoughts and character?

It is a place where we bury the penalty of death, the hidden concrete thoughts of our own insanity and fear of the Day of Judgment. If persecution is the new frontier for mankind then why are our efforts being acknowledged as a mere coincidence.

It seems that planning and perseverance is only a myth to us in regards to our so-called planned execution of our time and space on this planet. What and where is the comfort zone for poor people with limited knowledge about the way the universe lines up and how we as a people remove the thought of self-denial.

And at what point can we allow the true and living inside of ourselves exonerate the evil that men do. In other words stop sagging.

Free Ray from Pasadena. What’s up Sand Man, free P da Pimp. Uno and Barry and Mr. Cooper on Death Row this one is for you. Lil Fee we love you homie.
