Reaching out to the less fortunate, the Evangelism and Membership team united with members of Price Chapel A.M.E. Church to donate new clothes, toys, sports gear, and other items to the families of Ruby House, a transitional home for single mothers and their children.

“We were blessed by the families of Ruby House and inspired by Rev. Darlene Watley, the director and founder. She works tirelessly to provide a safe haven for these mothers and children along with substance abuse counseling and other psychological support to help rebuild and reclaim lives,” said Pastor Cedric V. Alexander.

“Our congregation is grateful for this relationship and humbly honored for the blessing to bless others.”

Echoing similar comments, the Rev. Watley said, “It’s a blessing to know people are willing to reach out and help others. We are forever thankful for the kindness and generosity shared with Ruby House.”

Another outreach service offered by Price Chapel is the free Community Breakfast every fourth Saturday of the month. The next one takes place on May 26, at 9 a.m., in the church fellowship hall at 4000 West Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles. For more information, call (323) 296-2406.
