People’s Independent Plans ‘7 Last Words’

Powerful preaching will highlight the ‘Maundy Thursday – Holy Sacrament and Footwashing Service’ on March 28, at 7 p.m., and the ‘Seven Last Words’ worship on Good Friday, March 29, at 7 p.m.

“Three neighborhood churches on West Boulevard will unite for the Maundy Thursday service. People’s Independent Church of Christ, Moving into Perfection and Ascension Lutheran Church will co-host the praising of our King,” said Bishop Craig A. Worsham, senior pastor of People’s Independent.

The service takes place at Ascension Lutheran, 5820 West Boulevard in Los Angeles. Bishop Worsham will deliver the message.

Seven local pastors will participate in the Good Friday worship held at People’s Independent, 5856 West Boulevard in Los Angeles.

The ministers are Pastor Geremy Dixon of First Church of God, Pastor Curtis Morris of Grove Christian Bible Church, Pastor Theodore Payne of Quinn A.M.E. in Moreno Valley, Pastor Rosalynn Brookins of Walker Temple A.M.E., Pastor Wendell Davis, Sr., of New Jericho, Pastor Eric Phillips of Lighthouse Christian, and Pastor LeSean Tarkington of St. James A.M.E. 

On Sunday, March 31, People’s Independent will hold Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m., a Resurrection Production 9 a.m., and worship and Resurrection Cantata at 11 a.m.
