Legendary community organizer leaves lasting impact.

“The contributions that Ophelia McFadden made to the labor movement through her leadership in SEIU continue to benefit the lives of hundreds of thousands of workers throughout the nation – including the long term care workers of SEIU ULTCW. Fighting for the voice of African American workers in the labor movement and demanding that in-home caregivers be invisible no more were the passions of her life. We are all saddened by her passing and send our thoughts and prayers to her family.”  – Laphonza Butler, president, SEIU ULTCW
