Ophelia Jones’ Transition

In memory of the passing of Mrs. Ophelia Jones, a community activist, as well as an adviser and aunt to Board of Equalization Chairman Jerome Horton  and Inglewood City Clerk Yvonne Horton, services will be held Saturday March 30th, 2013, at 1:00pm in the Galleria at the Inglewood Park Cemetery, located at 720 E. Florence Avenue, Inglewood, CA 90301.

As a prolific real-estate investor, Mrs. Jones acquired and sold investment properties throughout Los Angeles county.  However, she was most proud of her investment in her children and her family, nurturing and loving them as a mother, friend, and counselor. She was the last matriarch of the Veal Clan who also practiced her life-long nursing profession up to the time of her transition.  She leaves behind a legacy of caring for others.
