New Antioch Church of God in Christ marks its Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 27.   The Fall Festival is an annual celebration sponsored by the Youth Department that occurs every October from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“The tradition of celebrating the harvest is especially important.  This celebration was implemented to give Christian families an alternative to Halloween,” said Pastor Jeffrey Lewis.

“The children and parents are invited to dress up as their favorite biblical character.  All of the fun activities honor what we believe.”

The event features ample food, cakewalk, candy, contests, game booths, auctions and music. The $5 donation includes admission, food and five game tickets.

Pastor Jeffrey and First Lady Floetta Lewis invite the entire community to come out for a time of food, fellowship and fun.  Sister Tamikae Freeman, Youth Department President, is the event coordinator.

New Antioch is located at 7826 South Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles. For information, call (323) 778-7965.

Also, Superintendent Lewis provides live expository teaching on Sundays at 11 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., at www.newantiochlive.com.
