There is a “New Kidd” in the NBA and his name is Lonzo Ball, the Lakers’ rookie from UCLA. Here is the latest word from the L.A. Lakers’ No. 1 pick Ball and No. 2 overall selection is now a happy camper after signing his first contract with his hometown team: “It’s a job now. You gotta have fun doing it, it’s your life.” Ball was knocked off in his debut by the L.A. Clippers, 96-93 in the Summer League in Las Vegas on the night of July 6. Ball was held down in his first game as a Laker with five points, five assists, four rebounds and two steals.
