NANM Hosts Choral Festival Concert

The Georgia Laster Branch of the National Association of Negro Musicians (NANM) hosts the Choral Festival Concert on Friday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m., at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2230 Jefferson Boulevard in Los Angeles.

According to Arvis Jones, NANM Western Region Director, “Several choirs and musical ensembles will perform.  We encourage you will bring your family and friends to enjoy this spiritually, uplifting event.”

The concert includes New Philadelphia A.M.E. Church choir, Voices of Trinity of Trinity Baptist Church, Macedonia Baptist Church choir, GLB Symphonic Chorale, the Holman Singers, L.A. Gospel Messengers, William Grant Still Jazz Ensemble and the Westminster Presbyterian choir.

Founded in 1919, NANM promotes, preserves, and supports all genres of music created or performed by African Americans. Also, the organization awards scholarships to talented young musicians throughout the country.
