Musicians In Action, Inc. will present “3 Tenors & A Baritone” featuring the vocal ensemble of Calvin Dupree, the Rev. Calvin B. Rhone, Haqumai W. Sharpe, and Frank Williams.

The event takes place on Saturday, May 17, at 5 p.m., at Peoples Independent Church, 5856 West Boulevard in Los Angeles. Bishop Craig Worsham is the host pastor.

According to MIA founder Jacque Malone, “This celebrated quartet will grace the stage once more, offering a breathtaking showcase of musical artistry that spans a rich and diverse repertoire—from the timeless elegance of classical compositions to the soul-stirring depths of gospel, the electrifying energy of Broadway, and the captivating rhythms of jazz and spirituals.

Malone added that Byron Smith will be the music director of the program. A Professor of Commercial Music at Los Angeles Harbor College, Smith has led music departments at Macedonia Baptist Church and Grant A.M.E. Church in L.A. His career includes serving as past National President of the National Association of Negro Musicians (NANM), as well as the conducting his own compositions at the world-renowned Carnegie Hall in New York City.
