More Ministries Announce Holiday Events

Greater Zion Church Family
Recording artists JAI and J. Kingdom will join Pastor Michael J.T. Fisher and Greater Zion members for the ‘NYE 2011 Concert Bash’ on Saturday, December 31, at 10 p.m., at the church located at 2408 North Wilmington Avenue in Compton.

Christ the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church
Christmas Eve service will be held on Saturday, December 24, from 10 p.m. to midnight, at 3303 West Vernon Avenue in Los Angeles, said Pastor Joseph Oloimooja.

“It is a time for us to answer the questions that non-Christians are asking when they come to church this holiday season. We will to explain to people who don’t know God about the bad news in Genesis as well as the good news in the Gospels so that they, too, can enjoy the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ,” he said.

Metropolitan Baptist Church
“Experience a unique, one-of-a-kind, first-of-its-kind New Year’s Eve celebration on Saturday, December 31, at 10 p.m.,” expressed Pastor Elton Johnson who will host the service at 4200 South Hooper Avenue in Los Angeles.

The ‘Cross-over Experience’ service will include Pastor Darnell Dyson and Greater Faith Baptist Church, Pastor William Davis and Rock of Faith Church, Pastor Terry Brooks of Bayview Baptist Church in San Diego, Pastor Theo Wilkins and Sounds of Praise, and comedian Barry Brewer.

Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church
Pastor George E. Hurtt invites the L.A. community to attend Mount Sinai’s ‘Joy to the World’ Christmas Day worship service, at 9 a.m., at the Four Points Sheraton LAX, 9750 Airport Boulevard in Los Angeles.

New Antioch Church of God In Christ
Young people will present their Christmas program on Sunday, December 25, at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass Worship Celebration at 10:30 a.m., announced Elder Jeffrey M. Lewis, Sr., senior pastor of New Antioch Church of God in Christ.

A Christmas Eve celebration featuring praise and refreshments will be held Saturday, December 24, at 5 p.m., at 12110 East Firestone Boulevard in Norwalk.

West Angeles Church of God In Christ
Bishop Charles E. Blake and West Angeles Church of God in Christ will hold one service only at 10 a.m., on Christmas Sunday, December 25 at the West Angeles Cathedral, 3600 Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles. Several special guests are slated to attend.
