Dr. Johnnie Green Preaches at Macedonia Baptist

The Rev. Dr. Johnnie M. Green, Jr. of Mount Neboh Baptist Church in New York will preach on Sunday, October 13, at Macedonia Baptist Church to kick-off its 105th Anniversary Celebration, announced Macedonia Pastor Shane Scott.

The historical congregation will celebrate their anniversary through October 20.  The theme is ‘Renewing Our Covenant with The Master, Ministry and Masses.’

Born in Dallas, TX, the Rev. Dr. Green graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree, received his Master’s of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree at Drew University.

Dr. Green was licensed to preach and ordained in 1979. He served as pastor of St. James Baptist Church in Gladewater, TX; and New Zion Baptist Church in Elizabeth, NJ; before coming to Mt. Neboh in 2006. Also, he is the founder of the Agape Children’s Academy of New Jersey.
