Los Angeles Sentinel Top 10
Published December 4, 2013

1.     MATER DEI…I know that I failed to ranked St. John Bosco in the football poll because of our regional coverage, but with Stanley Johnson and the Monarchs covering so much ground there will be no such mistake here.

2.     ETIWANDA (4-0)…Jordan McLaughlin follows in the footsteps of Darren Collison as the next great point guard from the IE. However this USC recruit controls the fate of top ranked Mater Dei when all the dust settles.

3.      REDONDO (4-0)… The magic carpet ride still continues with Reggie Morris and his team. They beat Westchester and then Mayfair to capture their own  Pac Shores tournament to roll to their 25th consecutive victory.

4.     WESTCHESTER (3-1)…lost to Redondo by a point and then hosed St. John Bosco in wire to wire fashion. Love Nick Hamilton, Elijah Stewart, Myles Stewart, Cameron Young and Leyon Gooden. Did I mention their coach is Ed Azzam who coached Reggie Morris Jr.

5.     Mayfair (3-1)…beat St. John Bosco to advance to the Pac Shores tourney title game behind super star junior ‘Mr. Biggs’ Kendall Small and will be a load for anyone going forward.

6.     St. John Bosco (2-2)…Don’t be so quick to bury the Braves who will have to be ready for everybody’s best shot. Daniel Hamilton averaged a double double in the Pac Shores 20 plus points and 10 plus rebounds and junior Tyler Dorsey is the real deal.

7.     Loyola…Arizona bound Parker Jackson Cartwright is enough right there to let you know the Cubs will be tough to handle.

8.     SERRA…The Cavs will get their lips wet in the Westchester Tip Off Classic a tournament they have not been successful in. Seniors Tavrion Dawson and Ron Freeman will have to figure it out this time around.

9.     TAFT…always have to be mindful of the team Derrick Taylor left behind for St. John Bosco.

10.VIEW PARK…lets see how Harold Jones does when he’s the haunted and not doing the hunting. No doubt about it they can play with almost anybody.
