Woods helped lead Gardena Serra High School to a State Bowl victory in 2009.  That year he was named the ESPN RISE Cal-Hi Sports Boys State Athlete of the Year.  Besides leading Serra’s football team to a state title, he also anchored Serra’s 4×400 meter relay team on the track and field team.  He was second in the nation in the 400-meter dash.  Photo by Jeff Lewis

Johnathan Franklin- Green Bay Packers, 4th round

Franklin had to beat out a number of highly recruited running backs UCLA.  He won the starting running back job as a red-shirt freshman and he did not let any other player take it from him.  He went on to become UCLA’s all-time leading rusher for a career and this past year he set UCLA’s single season rushing mark.  Photo by Jason Lewis

Franklin helped lead Dorsey High School to the City Section Semifinals in 2007.  On that same team was Rahim Moore, who played safety at UCLA and now plays for the Denver Broncos.  Photo by Jason Lewis

Kenjon Barner- Carolina Panthers, 6th round

While at Oregon, Barner was a key member of one of the greatest offenses that college football has seen over the past decade.  After starring at Riverside Notre Dame High School, he went on to a brilliant college career, and he set Oregon’s single game rushing record with 321 yards this past season against USC.  In that game he scored five touchdowns.  Photo by Jeff Lewis
