Women Inspired Through Networking Elements Sister to Sister (W.I.T.N.E.S.S.) will host their 20th Anniversary Conference this coming Saturday at the USC Radisson Hotel. Several months back, Jacques McNeil, President of the organization reached out to me and invited me to be one of the workshop speakers on the subject of forgiveness. I have known Jacques and her work in the community for several years and it lines up with my core purpose of inspiring and encouraging women. Jacques and W.I.T.N.E.S.S. embody the true essence of integrity and are an example of what it means to walk according to the Word of God.
The organization is known as being a Christian Book Club, but they are more than a literary ministry. They were established to equip women to live victoriously mind, body and spirit through the study of Christian literature in a small group setting. Their mission is to reach and teach through fellowship that fosters healthy relationships. They are very selective of the books they read and recommend with the purpose of promoting Christian values. They believe in community outreach, health and wellness programs, monthly intercessory and corporate prayers. Overall they aim to bridge generations and challenge each woman to step outside of her comfort zone and be the best she can be.
W.I.T.N.E.S.S., believes they are their sisters keeper. They live out these values by holding each other accountable, being dependable, loyal, transparent, humble, forgiving, loving and honest. These attributes will also be emphasized through the workshops and speakers presenting at their conference on September 26th. Their keynote speaker is the dynamic Pastor Theresa McFaddin Ordell. She is a noted bible teacher and conference speaker known for her testimony of overcoming physical challenges to live a life of purpose. One of my dear friends Deborah Smith Peques, Leadership Coach, Author and Speaker will be their honoree. It is a joy to see and participate in events where you know people walk the walk they talk. I’ve known both of these women for several decades. They are the real deal.
Women are the center of the family. Families thrive and prosper when women are able to live victoriously mind, body and spirit. Women carry a heavy responsibility today where families are sandwiched between the young and the elderly. Oftentimes we are the caretakers for our parents and our children who return home after college when they aren’t able to find work. If we don’t take care of ourselves and make sure our health and spirit are on point, it will be difficult if not impossible, for us to handle the pressures and responsibilities that are placed upon us.
The “Living Victoriously: Mind, Body & Spirit Conference,” will be an opportunity for women to come together and relax for a day while gleaning tools that will give them the necessary skills to be successful and triumphant at whatever they put their hands to do. Come join me!
Healing Without Hate: It’s a choice. It’s a lifestyle. Pass it on!
