Karen Bass Statement on 2nd Death at Democratic Donor Ed Buck’s Apartment

LOS ANGELES – Today, Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) released the following statement regarding the death of Timothy Dean:

“I was stunned by the news of the death of Gemmel Moore, but I am not stunned by the death of Timothy Dean. I am again saddened, and I am again enraged. How is it that someone can have a dead person found in their house, with drugs around the house, and not be arrested? And not be tried? And not be sentenced?

“There has been an absence of justice for Gemmel Moore and now, Timothy Dean has paid for that mistake with his life. I again call on law enforcement to investigate and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. My thoughts are with the friends and family of Gemmel and Timothy this evening.”

Nine years ago, Rep. Bass received a $250.00 contribution from Edward Buck. Upon hearing of the death of Gemmel Moore, she donated the money to Gemmel’s family.
