State Assemblyman Reggie Jones- Sawyer is asking his “friends and neighbors” to join him Saturday October 3 in Exposition Park for “Movies in the Park”. The “fun-filled, Halloween-themed community event will feature Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video and box office hit “Ghostbusters,” he said. The festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. and show time is set for 7:30 p.m. or sunset.

Assembly Concurrent Resolution (ACR) 18 encourages the use of state parks to enrich lives, boost the local economy and improve our health. This is especially needed in underserved communities like South Los Angeles, Florence/Firestone, Walnut Park and sections of Huntington Park.

“Together we can enjoy each other’s company, discuss legislative issues and munch free popcorn,” Jones- Sawyer said.

Kids will take home a trick-or-treat bag. For more information, call at 213.744.2111 or visit

“Looking forward to seeing you there,” said the assemblyman.
“Please wear your best costume!”
