Rev. Dr. Norman S. Johnson, Sr.

In a salute to Pastor Norman S. Johnson, Sr., the members of First Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church will commemorate his four decades of ministerial and community service.

The Celebratory Prayer Breakfast is set for Saturday, April 20, at 9 a.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. LaShawn Jakes of West Point Baptist Church in Chicago, IL. The breakfast donation is $15.

The Prayer and Worship Celebration Service takes place on Sunday, April 21, at 11 a.m., with the sermon delivered by the Rev. Robert Wilkins, president and CEO of YMCA East Bay.  A reception will be held following the worship.

Dr. Johnson is highly regarded throughout the area for his dedicated ministry and committed social activism. Accepting the call to preach in 1973, he has served as spiritual leader of First New Christian Fellowship since 1988.

Both events will be held in the edifice located at 1555 West 108th Street in Los Angeles.  To RSVP for the breakfast or obtain more information, call Karen Garris-Wright at (323) 756-2541.
