The Young Adult Ministry at the First Church of God Center of Hope presented its inaugural Jazz concert last Sunday Dec. 9th in Inglewood.

“The Warriors of Judah Hope Jazz Fest” presented four high quality performances, which included Donald Hayes, five-piece ensemble featuring Chris Payton.

The capacity crowd was also treated to a show stopping performance by the sultry, smooth voice singing of Patrice Morris who performed the classic ‘My Funny Valentine.’

Pastor Jeremy Dixon who was thrilled by the surprisingly enormous turnout received the first ever-jazz concert with joy. Because of the overwhelming request for tickets the concert had to be moved to the facilities larger location to accommodate its patrons.

“A church that allows a Jazz concert demonstrates a unique balance for its congregation, said Hayes.

Also playing were Rembert James Jazz Ensemble and Genesis (TMXBand).
