It’s About to ‘Jump Off’

Author/Rapper Jara Everett shares her life stories from the age of 15 years old through adulthood in her first self-published book “JumpOff” available beginning Nov. 23rd on Amazon.

Everett’s reveals personal and explicit experiences with some of most powerful and influential figures in the entertainment industry, including Tupac, Suge Knight, R. Kelly, Shawty Redd, Young Jeezy, Martin Lawrence, Shaq, Gary Busey, Jazze Pha and others.

Written from her own experiences with a touch of humor and honesty, Everett explains what is a,  ‘JumpOff?’

Readers will laugh, but may be astonished while reading about powerful men in the entertainment industry.

“I wrote this book for other women to learn about themselves through my stories,” states Everett “So many women are ‘JumpOffs’ whether intentional or not, but now they can see for themselves where they are right now and take control of where they are going.”

In addition to the book, Everett produced and recorded a song about “JumpOff” through a joint venture with R.W Productions which features up and coming rapper Kasino Way, and mixed beats by music heavyweight TomCat Bennett.

The Chief Keef Beef

Yo, Chief Keef is a true renegade! The Chicago rapper is a brand spanking new artist, and he’s already acting like a huge diva. Chief Keef has made headlines this year for all the wrong reasons and now, according to 50 Cent, Keef was a no show at his own music video. Where they do that at?

The teenage rapper was scheduled to shoot his music video for “Hate Bein’ Sober” featuring 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa, and decided to skip the shoot altogether and not show up. Check out 50?s tweet about the incident below:

The video shoot took place yesterday in Las Vegas and featured 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa driving four-wheelers. For reasons that are still not known, Chief Keef did not show up to the video shoot, which is rumored to be his first single off of his upcoming debut album, Finally Rich.

I’m sure Jimmy Iovine, Interscope’s head honcho, is turning all kinds of colors right now. If Chief Keef can’t even bother to show up to his own video shoot featuring big-time names like 50 and Wiz, how can he be trusted to go on tour, or be on time for an interview, or a photo shoot? Also, didn’t Chief Keef sort of disrespect Wiz and 50 by not showing up?

I Ain’t No Home Wrecker

Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz have been married for two years and have an adorable son together, but some people can’t get past the allegations that these two hooked up while Swizzy was still married. Both Swizz and Alicia have denied these claims, but the unfortunate fact is that these two did, in fact, begin dating while Swizz was legally still married… although he claims to have been separated from his wife, R&B singer Mashonda, at the time.

In a new interview with Jet magazine, Alicia says that she is tired of fighting claims that are “not true,” and she takes the time to clarify the public perception of their union. Check out what she said below:

[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true…

I’m not sure how these two even connected, but every time I see a photo of them together, they look really, really happy. They seem to complete each other, and they sure do make some great music together. Alicia says they “live in each other’s shadow,” but in a good way.

I’d never met a person where I could be fully myself…Swizz and I live in each other’s shadow. So we can occupy the same space and there is nothing but equality. There’s something really powerful about that.

It seems like Alicia and Mashonda have gotten past their issues with each other as well, for the good of the entire family…. Swizz has a son with Mashonda, too. Good for them!

Lil Wayne Bombshell

Best Rapper alive and Grammy winner Lil Wayne unleashed a bombshell this week when he talked about his in-studio relationship with the legend Dr. Dre and how they have around 90 songs recorded together. It was only a matter of time until these two worked closely together as Lil Wayne has worked with everyone under the sun. Dr. Dre known for his weird recording process has been drip feeding Wayne tracks sending him random beats every once in awhile to record.

Wayne recently released a headphone line under the “Beats By Dre” headphones which was brought together by Interscope CEO Jimmy Iovine.

Unsure on where these songs will eventually appear, they probably will be locked in the “Dre Vault” until someone cracks the code and leaks them. However there is great chance that at least one track will appear on the longest anticipated album “Detox” but maybe a few rejects will be released on Weezy’s next solo album “I Am Not a Human Being 2? that will be tentatively released in December.

Sparks A Fly’N

Jordin Sparks says she and her boyfriend Jason Derulo are in no rush to get married, but she definitely sees a future with the singer when they’re both ready to settle down.

”I hope to marry and have kids one day, for sure, and I do see him in my future,” she tells OK! Magazine. “But we both have to be ready. If that happens one day, it will happen. ”

Jordin also credited Jason – who she has been dating since August 2011 – with keeping her calm and stress-free, and said she loves spending her spare time with him.

”There is something as simple as him just being in the room with me that helps calm me down and makes me feel at ease,” she says. ”We go to the gym together, we blow off steam at the gym — that helps relieve stress sometimes. He’s gotten me a massage before — that was really sweet. He says sweet things. When you love somebody, the littlest thing can be the biggest thing.”

P Diddy Escapes Injury

Bad Boy for Life representer Diddy (aka Puff Daddy aka Puff aka P Diddy aka Sean Combs) was almost taken from us this past week when he got in a serious car accident in Los Angeles.

Diddy was a passenger in an SUV when they rear ended another car in front of the Beverly Hills Hotel. Althought the accident was serious Diddy walked away from the accident and did not even go to the hospital. They were driving down sunset when a lexus pulled out in front of them and they rear ended them. I hope the person in the Lexus is alright or else Diddy might have to pay quiet a nice settlement for the accident.

“Woah…that was a close one!,” Puffy tweeted Thursday (October 25) morning with an attached photo link which also featured the same message. (Diddy’s Twitter)

Sean “Diddy” Combs was a passenger in an SUV that was hit by another car in front of the Beverly Hills Hotel, but the hip-hop and fashion mogul was not taken to a hospital. Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said Combs was riding in a Cadillac Escalade on Sunset Boulevard when a Lexus sedan turned left in front of it, and the vehicles collided. Hoshino says Combs complained of pain, but said he would seek his own medical attention. No one from either vehicle was hospitalized.
