Nicki Minaj, John Legend and Jhene Aiko Added to the 2014 BET Awards Lineup

A host of additional star-studded performances will take place at the 2014 BET Awards. Nicki Minaj, Jhene Aiko, John Legend and August Alsina will share the stage Lil Wayne, Lionel Richie, Pharrell Williams, Drake, Usher, Trey Songz and Jennifer Hudson. ­­­­Mack Wilds and K. Michelle will join Mary J. Blige, Songz and Hudson. Aiko, Michelle, Minaj, Alsina and Wilds are not only performing, but nominees. Chris Rock will host the award show June 29 at 8 p.m.


Beyoncé returns to HBO for “Beyoncé: X10” a 10-part series following her during “The Mrs. Carter World Tour.” The series aired Sunday June 22 at 8:55 p.m. before the final season of “True Blood,” which began at 9 p.m.  Clips of the documentary will include performances of “Blow/Cherry,” “Drunk in Love,” “Ghost/Haunted,” “Flawless/Yonce,” “Get Me Bodied,” “Baby Boy,” “Diva,” “Girls,” “Heaven,” “Partition,” “Why Don’t You Love Me?” and “XO.” “Beyoncé: X10” follows her first HBO special “Life Is But a Dream” last year.

50 Cent’s album “Animal Ambition”   

Music mogul 50 Cent released “Animal Ambition” June 3rd, producing his first album in five years the rapper showed that he is still a provocative musician that is both mainstream and street credible. As he produces and plays Kanan on Starz’s “Power,” singles “The Funeral,” “Chase the Paper,” “Irregular Heartbeat” and “Hold On” echo his 2003 album “Get Rich or Die “Tryin’.” He teamed up with Dr. Dre, Trey Songz, Schoolboy Q and Jadakiss for his fifth studio album.
