Rihanna partners with Shakira for new single “Can’t Remember To Forget You”

The “Pon de Replay” singer joined musical forces with Shakira for her new single “Can’t Remember To Forget You,” from her eight studio album. Rihanna is no stranger to power duos as she has worked with Eminem and TI on singles “Love the way you lie” and “Live Your Life.

Her collaboration on Eminem’s “The Monster” single sold 433,000 downloads this week, a 123% increase from the previous week and the most it has sold in one week, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures reported by billboard.com.

With hit singles of her own, she lends her voice to the sultry upbeat song that indulges the heartbreak and the battle of moving on in relationships.

Rihanna’s music style parallels with Shakira’s feisty and sensual style as she sings in verse two.

The song premiered Monday Jan. 13 on Ryan Seacrest’s syndicated radio show.

Rihanna who is thrilled with the collaboration instagrammed the cover artwork of the song of with herself laying on Shakira captioning “Official single art for “CAN’T REMEMBER TO FORGET YOU” with @Shakira #4daycountdown,” and tweeted the release date on Jan. 6.

Outkast Performing at 40 or more Festivals this Summer

Outkast “Big Boi” and “Andre 3000” announced on their official website that they’ll be celebrating their 20th anniversary by performing at more than 40 festivals around the world this spring and summer.

The musical duo will kick off their tour headlining Coachella April 11-13 and April 18-20, where they will reunite and continue to tour as a marquee act.

They recently shared with media outlets that they’ll be performing at the Governors Ball in New York City this year.

One of the best music groups to hail from Atlanta continues to go strong, their debut album, “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik” will mark their 20 year anniversary on April 26.

Big Boi stated, “It’s truly an honor to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose. Don’t just think outside the box, know that there is no box. I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans, stank you smelly much, this is for y’all!”

Andre 3000 responded to the announcement stating, “And imagine, all we wanted to do was rap! I am thankful to have been a part of a group that allowed me to explore anything that came to mind and have fun doing it. Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast.”

Dates to be announced.

Drake Shoots “Wu-Tang Forever” Music Video with A$AP Rocky

Drake filmed music video “Wu-Tang Forever” with A$AP Rocky in Harlem Sunday Jan. 12, a song that does not refer to rap group Wu-Tang Clan, but to an era of 90’s rap music. The song was released last September with mixed reviews and left fans and some members of the rap group feeling as though the song didn’t reflect Wu-Tang Clan’s music.

“Wu-member Inspectah Deck spoke out against the song and said that he wouldn’t appear on the proposed remix that is set to include several of the Wu MCs. “The majority of everybody [recorded their verses], probably minus three,” Cappadonna said when he appeared on “RapFix Live” back in November,” reports MTV.com
