Inglewood Ministers Hold Prayer Breakfast

‘The Joy of Building Together’ is both the theme and mission of the 30th Annual Prayer Breakfast hosted by the Inglewood Area Ministers Association (IAMA).

The event takes place on Wednesday, May 9, at 7 a.m., at the Proud Bird Resturant, 11022 Aviation Boulevard in Los Angeles. Among the highlights is a salute to the late Bishop Gregory Dixon, pastor of First Church of God.

Bishop T. Larry Kirkland, Sr., will be the keynote speaker and local people will be honored as well. They include Pastor Austin Williams of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor L. Daniel Williams of Church of the New Covenant, the Rev. Roosevelt F. Dorn and Ms. LaVonne Adger, retired executive assistant of former Inglewood Mayor Dorn.

The Rev. Teodora Carreras is IAMA president, Pastor Williams is Breakfast chair and the Rev. Joyce Randall is Breakfast co-chair.

Sponsors include Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary, Group of Village Companies, USC Murray Center for Community Engagement and Herschell Davis Hunt and Associates.
