Inglewood Councilmember Danny Tabor, currently Mayor Pro Tem, will head into a run off election for the city’s mayoral seat after receiving 26.38% of the vote in Tuesday’s election making him one of the two top vote getters. The run off election will take place in August.

“I look forward to challenging James Butts and debating the issues facing the residents of Inglewood,” explained Councilmember Danny Tabor to a standing room only audience at his Inglewood campaign headquarters. “Over the next month and half I will continue to reach out to voters in an effort to unify the city on the key issues that matter the most to them–cutting crime, balancing the city’s budget, providing for our kids, bringing economic development opportunities while continuing Inglewood’s tradition as the City of Champions.”

Endorsed by Congressional member Diane Watson (CA-33), Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas (2nd District), CA State Senator Rod Wright (D-25), CA State Assemblymembers Steve Bradford (D-51) and Isadore Hall (D-52), and retired former State Lt. Governor Mervyn Dymally, Councilmember Tabor is supported by a host of Inglewood residents, business owners, labor leaders, clergy, and community activists.
