Incident Involving a Firearm Occurred Outside Pollling Location at 92nd Street Elementary School

LOS ANGELES (March 5, 2013) — Earlier this morning an incident occurred at Precinct 900-2537A, at the 92nd Street Elementary School auditorium involving a firearm outside the polling location.
Los Angeles Police Department stated that they have secured the area and voting continues at this location till 8:00 p.m. tonight.   For voters’ convenience, a fully functional Mobile Operational Polling Place (MOPP) has been installed on the school grounds.  Curbside Voting is available at the location for voters that cannot access the MOPP.  Voters in this precinct who have not already voted are encouraged to cast their vote today before 8:00 p.m.  
Alternatively, if they wish, voters in this precinct may vote provisionally at any of the following nearby polling places which offer ballots containing the same races:
·         Bradley-Milken Youth Center
1773 E. Century Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90002
·         Ninety-Sixth Street Elementary School
1471 E. 96th St.
Los Angeles, CA 90002
·         Griffith Joyner Elementary School
1963 E. 103rd St.
Los Angeles, CA 90002
These provisional votes will be verified against the Official Roster of Voters of Precinct 900-2537A and if confirmed, will be accepted as fully valid votes.  An adjacent Precinct Map is attached for your reference. 
Finally, if you applied for and received a Vote-By-Mail ballot that you have not mailed in yet, that can be dropped off any polling location in the City before 8:00 p.m. tonight.
