I said it before, and I’m saying it again…

…”Post Racial Society My A**”

I once hear that the greatest sickness in the world today, is to believe something just because you wish it to be so. And for all of you Negroes that believe we are living in a post racial society because of one event, please made an appointment with your physician.

A nine-year-old Black boy in North Carolina was suspended from school for sexual harassment. The little boy was telling his little class mate that his teacher was “cute”. A teacher over hear the boy’s conversation and reported it to the school principle. I wonder what was the ethnicity of the teacher for them to feel so threaten by a nine-year-old Black boy?

The district spokeswoman said, “The boy was suspended for “inappropriate behaviour” after making “inappropriate statements”. What was the inappropriate behaviour a little Black boy thinking a white woman was cute. I remember another little Black boy that thought a white woman was cute. Remember Emmett Till, who was murdered in Mississippi at the age of 14 years old. Emmett was visiting relatives in the Mississippi when he spoke to a white women in a grocery store and was later taken from his uncles house and beaten and had one of his eyes gouged out before they shoot him through the head and disposing of his body in the Tallahatchie River. So I guess knowing what some people are capable of, a two day suspension wasn’t so bad.

Then I read about the Milton Hershey School, which claims to be true to its mission to nurture and educates children in social and financial need to lead fulfilling and productive lives. What they forgot to say was, only if you’re not HIV Positive and Black.

Now I know to some of you that seems a little harsh of me to say that but what else can I say when a 13-year-old Black boys was denied admission to the school after they found out he was HIV-positive. Now for all you that need dominate society’s take on things, before hearing my Black voice, here you go. The decision not to allow the young man admittances is the subject of a federal civil lawsuit which was filed by a Philadelphia-based AIDS Law Project, which claims the school violated the teen’s civil rights by denying his application. Now that’s what they said.

For all of you that have had your heads in God only knows where, surly not the Sentinel newspaper, because they have coved the issues of HIV/AIDS for years. This young man is not a threat to other studies or anyone else and you would think after 30 years of HIV/AIDS articles, news stories and conversations you would know that and certainly someone in the Milton Hershey School should know this. Here’s what so deep, I would be willing to bet you that there are at less one or two HIV positive studies or teachers at the school now.

Do you remember Ryan White, the young man who became the national poster child for HIV/AIDS in the United States, after being expelled from middle school because of his infection? Ryan was a hemophiliac who became infected with HIV from a contaminated blood treatment. Doctors said that Ryan posed no risk to other students and AIDS at that time was poorly understood just as it is 30 years later. This young Black man poses no health risk to the other students.

For those of you that don’t know anything about HIV/AIDS here’s your HIV 101 class. HIV is found in specific human body fluids and they are as follows: Blood, Semen (cum), Pre-seminal fluid (pre-cum), Breast milk, Vaginal fluids or Rectal (anal) mucous. If any of those fluids enter your body, you can become infected with HIV. So unless this young is sharing drug needles at school, having unprotected vaginal or anal sex or he breast feeds one of the studies (I just through that in to show just how crazy this all is) everyone will be fine. But if the school allows its studies or teachers to engage in any of these activities on campus, HIV transmission should be the less of their concerns.

One of the last assaults on Black people last week in the media would break poor Clarence Thomas’s heart. A brother from Zimbabwe has been banned from church because he had the nerve to show up at Freewill Baptist Church in Pike County, Kentucky with his fiancé…..a white girl! This Negro also had the unmitigated gall, to think that these good Christian white folks would not only welcome them, but allow them to be married in there church. The audacity of this colored, not knowing that the congregation had recently voted to ban interracial couples from coming to the damn church. Now this Negro, not only wants to attend, but to besmirch there sanctified place of worship by being joined in holy matrimony with a white girl in their place of worship.

After the word got out that about Freewill Baptist Church the congregation voted to remover from its charter its ban excluding of Black people from church functions. All I can say is, Praise the Lord.
