The 45th State Women’s Convention of the Southern California First Jurisdiction was explosive!! All speakers were highly anointed with a fresh ‘Word’ from the Lord during the event, held July 21 to July 24, at the Desert Springs J. W. Marriot Resort & Spa in Palm Desert.

Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis, Convention President, set the tone and atmosphere with early Morning Prayer, leading the women in prayer as the glory of the Lord rained on the delegates. Bishop Joe L. Ealy, Jurisdictional Prelate, brought a powerful message entitled ‘Misplaced Keys.’ It was a message of hope that stirred the minds of hundreds of delegates that came from Southern California and other states.

The delegates left empowered, motivated, refreshed and eager to share the message. Those in attendance were inspired, encouraged and motivated to make positive changes in their personal lives. The convention impacted them in such a way that it will cause them to reach out and touch someone else.

Youth and children were an integral part of the convention. They utilized their gifts and talents in the interactive workshops and participated in the services. Their performances moved the audience because they presented ‘genuine’ praise and worship.
