Hafeesah Asya Simmons known as Sista X, 71 passes away

Hafeesah Asya Simmons known as Sista X, age 71 died March 16, 2013, at Westlake Convalescent Hospital, Los Angeles, CA.

She lived her life in Los Angeles, California as a vegetarian, cook, writer, lecturer, health and beauty consultant, manufacturer and always enjoyed teaching others the lifestyle of natural eating and living.  She had a professional career in cosmetology for more than 40 years.  Much of her success was attributed to the miracle ingredients in Garlic and Aloe Vera.

 She is survived by her children Charles M. Baker and Melina Estep Pettaway, Tonya Tompkins and Kenneth Tompkins, 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings James Braxton, Michael Braxton and Dwayne Braxton, Judith Smith, Linda Burrows and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, special acquaintances and friends.

 She was cremated and there will be no service or visitation.
