Arts organizations to take place on Feburary 22 in Leimert Park
Arts Tune-Up is a FREE one-day event, Saturday, Feburary 22 from 10am-1pm, offering expert advice, consultation and information to individual artists and small budget arts organizations looking to gain insight on a variety of topics ranging from arts education, marketing and publicity, to community and cultural outreach, fundraising and health insurance.
The Tune-Up provides free access to artists and arts administrators at all levels and is designed around an informal round-robin process in which participants visit five expert discussions and topic presentations. Scheduled topics include advocacy, arts education in-school resources and working in arts education (K-12), community and cultural outreach, fundraising, individual artist resources, intro to public art, marketing, publicity, understanding health insurance and healthcare reform.
The Arts Tune-Up is sponsored by the Empowerment Congress Arts and Culture Committee and the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
