COGIC First Jurisdiction Holds Annual Workerís Meeting

The Annual Workerís Meeting of the First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Southern California is underway and continues until Friday, January 14, at West Angeles Church of God in Christ North Campus, 3045 S. Crenshaw Blvd., in Los Angeles.  Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake is pastor. 

The theme is, ìThe Church Specializing in What We Do Bestî and program will consist of gospel preaching, praise and worship, and spiritual renewal.   The public is invited to attend.

On Thursday, January 13, Womenís Day will be observed with Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis, State Supervisor, delivering the Annual Address and the Bishopís Council will be in session.  Both events will start at 10 a.m.

Bishop Joe L. Ealy, Jurisdictional Prelate, will preach on Friday at 7 p.m. The Jurisdictional Mass Choir, under the direction of Evangelist Markita Knight, will sing both nights.

The Workerís Meeting began January 11 in San Diego at the Fountain of Life COGIC. Administrative Assistant J.A. Blake was the host pastor.
