Family-to-Family Program

It’s a 12-week course designed to help families of persons with mental illnesses.

The Urban Los Angeles affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (or NAMI) will be sponsoring its Family-to-Family Program, a no-cost, comprehensive, 12-week course designed to help families of persons with mental illnesses, such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, etc.

The course offers information on coping skills, emotional support, understanding medications, and becoming a knowledgeable and empowered advocate on behalf of mentally ill loved ones. Two classes are being held in April:

Beginning April 8, 2014, Tuesday evenings, 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, at NAMI Urban Los Angeles, 4305 Degnan Blvd., Suite 104, Los Angeles, CA 90008 -and- Beginning April 12, 2014, Saturday mornings, 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, at West Angeles Church, 3045 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90016
