When life’s circumstances change, consider it an opportunity to fulfill your dreams, says author Helen Daniels.
In her book, “Enriching Your Life,” Daniels aims to inspire women who are entering a new phase of their life, especially those in their mature years, to focus on activities they always wanted to do and in the process, you may discover your life’s purpose.
“The title of my book and the main topics — purpose, potential, and possibilities — were inspired by I Corinthians 1:5, “’That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge,’” explains Daniels.
“Identifying our life’s purpose is perhaps the most important action we can or should do. When you identify your life’s purpose, you have a clear sense of direction for your life, and it answers the age-old question of why you were born.”
“Enriching Your Life” contains practical information along with various scriptures to guide readers in realizing their untapped God-given gifts and talents. The book also offers self-coaching exercises to aid in strengthening or eliminating specific behaviors.
The contents in Daniels’ book reflect her personal journey. After a 25-year public relations and training career with the City of Los Angeles, she retired in 2010, but it wasn’t until 2013 that her purpose in life became clear.
At the time, she was enrolled in a theology course at her church as well as conducting a workshop twice a month at the Los Angeles Mission. Believing that others could benefit from her public speaking and writing skills, she discovered what she really wanted to do in the next phase of her life, so in 2015, Daniels founded Inspired Words Communications, LLC.
“I believe my life’s purpose is to inspire others, especially women, to create and enjoy successful and fulfilling lives and I do this or that by speaking and writing,” says Daniels. “Writing this book is the initial platform for this new venture and retirement makes it easier to pursue my dreams as an author and entrepreneur.”
In addition to her life experience, Daniels’ educational credentials will greatly assist her in pursuing and fulfilling her dream. The holder of an Associate degree in Christian Ministry, she received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of LaVerne, a Master’s of Public Administration from CSU – Dominguez Hills, and a certificate in Copy Editing from the UCLA Extension. In addition, she is a certified life coach.
Since publishing “Enriching Your Life” in 2017, Daniels has heard lots of positive feedback from believers and nonbelievers alike.
In light of the favorable response, she says, “I think my book will prompt people to become more curious about their life’s purpose, their potential, and seriously consider the possibility of pursuing and fulfilling their dreams.”
