Emmanuel C.O.G.I.C. Celebrates Annual Women’s Day

Emmanuel C.O.G.I.C., located at 1399 E. 33rd Street, will be celebrating its Annual Women’s Day on Sunday, April 11, in its 11a.m. morning service. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Margie Houston, First Lady of King Jesus Bible Way Church of God in Christ, where her husband, Dr. Arthur H. Houston, is pastor.

Evangelist Houston, a much decorated, retired teacher from the Los Angeles Unified School District, will address the theme: “Standing on God’s Promises- A Sure Foundation.”

Evangelist Houston serves the C.O.G.I.C. church community in various capacities, at the local, district, and state level. She serves faithfully at her church as the President of the Department of Women, Sunday School Superintendent, and Bible Enlightenment teacher. She serves as Second Assistant to District Missionary Irene Shumate, in the Shiloh District and the Assistant Regional Missionary, in the South Los Angeles Region. In the Women’s Department of First Jurisdiction, under the leadership of Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis, Evangelist Houston serves as Co-Chair on the Board of Examiners for the School of Licensing Missionaries, and is a member of the Program Committee for the State Women’s Convention. She is, also, the Chairperson of the Missionaries Ablaze.

You don’t want to miss this most informative and inspirational speaker. The public is invited. Superintendent Wilbur Jones, Jr. is the pastor.
