Higher Learning Institution Hosts An Event For Entrepreneurs From Around The Globe

In honor of America’s first ever National Entrepreneurs Day on November 19, California InterContinental University (CalUniversity) will host Entrepreneurs Conference 2010 (ECON2010), a conference that supports emerging entrepreneurs from around the world. Free to attend, ECON2010 invites young people to join a growing movement of visionaries and business savvy individuals who are looking to turn their dreams into reality.

As part of the day’s festivities, ECON2010 will feature speakers from various industries covering topics such as internet marketing, social networking, venture capital funding, legal issues and much more. Created to give entrepreneurs the tools and information necessary to live out their dreams, ECON2010 is also the perfect networking opportunity for business owners to meet like-minded individuals and hear firsthand about the tactics and opportunities that have helped pave the way for some of America’s most successful businesses.

In addition to the workshops and speakers, three individuals will be recognized for their outstanding achievements in the area of entrepreneurship. Kirsten Mangers, founder of Webvisible, will be honored as the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. Spencer Brown, founder of Rentagreenbox, will be honored as the Green Entrepreneur of the Year. And Andrew Warner, founder of Mixergy, will be honored as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

“Our main goal and motivation for hosting this conference is to allow entrepreneurs to expand their business and gain visibility through the support of their peers,” said CEO of CalUniversity Dr. Shaan Kumar. “ECON2010 will serve as a congregation of decision makers, executives, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and others, all under one roof. Providing access to resources for the business leaders of tomorrow, we want the conference to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit which we believe to be the backbone of America.”

Prior to ECON2010, CalUniversity, a distance learning online educational institution, will conduct its inaugural graduation ceremony with all graduates attending the conference thereafter. The graduation and conference will be held on November 19, 2010 from 1pm – 4pm, at the Pacific Palms Hotel and Conference Center in Industry Hills, CA. Other event sponsors include Vickers Capital Group and Mercury Investments. The conference is free and open to the public but seating is limited. For more information and to register, please visit
