Detectives Looking for Suspect in Compton Shooting

CNS – Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting death in Compton, a sheriff’s deputy said. The shooting occurred in the 400 block of South Cliveden Avenue, near Compton/Woodley Airport, about 9:45 p.m. Friday July 4, said Deputy Rick Pedroza. The male victim was declared dead at the scene, Pedroza said. His name was withheld. No arrests were immediately made, Pedroza said.
