Danisha Danielle Hoston, President of Hoston & Associates, Inc.

Danisha Danielle Hoston is a multi-millionaire investor in investment properties in the LA-area.

When having a conversation with Danisha Danielle, it feels like you have known her forever. Behind this authentic, personable and often times, humorous woman, is a story she has to tell.

Right now, Danisha is a lead broker of a top commercial real estate team and a multi-millionaire investor in investment properties in the LA area. She is the president of her own company called Hoston & Associates, Inc. More importantly, she is a mother to her 12-year old daughter, Devan.

But before she became such a successful woman, she was a young girl who was raised by a single father. She graduated high school early and attended UCLA at 16 years old. During the time, she was interested in broadcasting, so she received her Bachelor’s in Mass Communications with a specialization in Business Administration. She particularly had an interest in sports broadcasting, but had a change of heart.

When she was 20 years old, she became pregnant with her daughter, Devan. Her child’s father tragically passed away a few months following her daughter’s birth after he was diagnosed with cancer. To make the heartbreaking situation even worse, she was laid off from her job at the time. This is where Danisha was like a lot of single mothers. She did not have enough money to support her family the way she wanted and was doing it all by herself.

She would later defeat the odds that were against her. With determination and hard work, she pursued to become a commercial real estate broker. A part of that determination was working for brokerages dominated by men and lacking in African Americans. Because of her perseverance, she has won many awards such as Rookie of the Year within a brokerage company and two national achievement awards. She has been featured and has hosted on many shows such as an Extra Lifechanger on NBC’s “Extra” and “America’s Best Lifechangers.” She was featured on Sirius/XM as a co-host for a popular relationship show and was also featured on “The Foxxhole” with Jamie Foxx. Her most recent appearances were on “The Talk” and the Ricki Lake show.

She is very involved with blogging and social media. Her blog can be found on Through her blog and her twitter, you can find her giving financial advice, encouragement or sports talk. Out of all topics she voices her opinion on, she says her favorite is relationship advice.

“I think there is a perception that both single mothers and career women have struggles in dating. There are definitely unique dating issues as a “successful single mom” (i.e. introducing your children, balancing your feminine energy between home and work, etc), but I think we all have the same issues when it comes to finding and maintaining relationships. I used to co-host a dating/relationships show on Sirius that covered a wide range of topics and I’m VERY opinionated on these things,” she said.

When asked how she balances her life as President of her own company, Radio/Media personality opportunities, being featured on television shows and blogging with being a mother, Danisha says she involves her daughter in her everyday responsibilities.

“I believe in ‘keeping it real’ parenting. So if Mommy has to come to work, Devan has to come to work. She’s been doing that since she was a baby,” she said.

She even joked that her daughter has learned a lot by experiencing her mother’s business responsibilities.

“She has already started her own business called My boyfriend owns a bakery, so she took some cupcakes to school and was talking about selling them. As an entrepreneurial mom, I’m going crazy inside,” she laughed.

Along with mentoring her daughter as she grows, she mentors those who work in her company and even offers advice to those who seek it. From working her way up to the top, she says that if “she can do it, anyone can.” Being a bi-racial woman, she has advice for all bi-racial and Black women who have experienced a similar situation to her.

“My race isn’t immediately obvious to a lot of people but my background is something that I’m very proud of.  I believe that every piece of my background whether it was socially, economically, or culturally has contributed to my success.  That being said, my advice to any other biracial and African-American women would be to own who you are 100%… Be fierce, fabulous, and beautiful!  Success will have no choice but to follow,” she said.

Currently, Danisha is working on her book, which is set to release some time this year.  She is also working on a web series on Youtube that targets young career professionals that she is very excited about. You can follow Danisha on Twitter @DanishaDanielle or visit her website at
