Blessed Ministries will explore topics rarely discussed at its eighth Healing and Deliverance Conference on Thursday, May 3, at 7 p.m., through Saturday, May 5, at 7 p.m., at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, 9750 Airport Boulevard in Los Angeles.
According to Apostle Charlezetta Nixon, the ‘Put Me Back Together Again’ conference will reveal reasons and offer solutions to people struggling with marriage problems, relationship issues, depression, addiction, or low self-esteem.
Apostle Nixon is the founder of Blessed Ministries and first lady of Ward A.M.E. Church where the Rev. Joseph Nixon is pastor.
Headlining the agenda are preaching and teaching by Apostle Ivory L. Hopkins, Founder/Overseer of Pilgrim Ministry of Deliverance Inc., in Georgetown, DE; Bishop Jackie Green, Founder/Overseer of JGM Enternational PrayerLife Institute Founder and Pastor of New Generation Fellowship Church in Phoenix, AZ; and Minister Elyzabeth Green of 2nd Baptist Church in Redlands, CA. All three are renowned international leaders in the healing and deliverance ministry.
The Sentinel spoke with Apostle Nixon to learn more about the subject.
LAS: Why do people suffer in silence about their emotional pain instead of seeking help?
ACN: There may be several reasons: (1) fear of condemnation; (2) feelings of guilt and shame; (3) mistrust; (4) if they were abused, threats by the abuser and (5) not able to cry when grieving. I believe the most prevalent reason is because Satan has convinced them to keep it a ‘secret.’
Apostle Hopkins in his teaching, ‘Battered, Broken and Bruised…Secret Wounds,’ states that Satan uses secrets to: (1) build a wedge and bring division; (2) hinder healthy communication; (3) freeze progress of God’s work; and (4) discourage truth and transparency and breed mistrust.
“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither anything hidden, that shall not be known and come abroad” (Luke 8:17).
LAS: What role does God and faith play in the deliverance process?
ACN: We can only be delivered if we totally trust that God is the deliverer! He relies on our active co-operation: (1) to recover full use of functions the devil has restricted; (2) to exercise the Lordship of Christ in areas previously used by the evil one for his purposes; (3) to return us to victories we once knew or lift us to new levels of spiritual understanding for the glory of Jesus Christ.
LAS: How can people assist loved ones dealing with or recovering from emotional pain?
ACN: I believe the best way is to love them unconditionally as Christ loved us. Follow 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (ESV): “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
The ‘Put Me Back Together Again’ worship services are open to the public on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. The registration fee for the Saturday workshop is $100.
