NBA Lockout

Lisa Allen– At least we’ll open with a win (against the Bulls!) That’ll make LA fans happy!

Daphne Thomas– who cares…spoiled over paid brats.

High School Football-Dorsey heading to the City Section semifinals, Crenshaw falls at San Pedro.

Kevin T. Reynolds– Let’s go Dorsey!

Honey Barlow-Banks– Dooooooorseeeeeeeeey!

Cassandra Youngadishi– Yay !! Dorsey Varsity Alumni Cheerleader !!!! Holla !!

Los Angeles Sentinel Sports Section
– Dorsey may be the best team out of everybody left. Their game at Narbonne next Friday night is going to be a great one.

Michael Brown
– Still can’t believe that. It’s been a minute since Crenshaw lost a game in this fashion.

USC- “One more year!!

Chef Danon Stokes
– That’s what we were chanting.

LaRoy Berry– One more for sure Matt!

Jason Douglas Lewis– This USC team is a lot like the ’02 team, who struggled early in the year and then got really hot. By the end of the season many thought they were the best in the nation. The next year they won the title. This USC teams looks like one of the best in the nation right now, and next year they could make a run at the title.

Michael Brown– I think Barkley and Kalil may be a package deal. Everyone’s harping on Barkley, and for good reason. He’s an excellent quarterback. However, Kalil’s the key. Most of the draft experts have him pegged as a top-five, top 10 caliber pick in the next NFL Draft. Kiffin’s right, the only reason for Barkley to come back is if he wants to be a “special Trojan.” Otherwise, it makes no fiscal sense to return. TJ McDonald could make the jump, although his undisciplined play at safety would worry me if I were a scout. The guy has the size, vision and instincts to be an impact player at the next level. As for Nick Perry, he hasn’t proven he can stay healthy at the college level. He should come back next year and join Armond Armstead and Antwuan Woods up front. Perry can play himself into the 1st round. Otherwise, he’ll be another mid-round Everson Griffen type pick. Talented, but with too many questions.

UCLA- Blown out by USC, Rick Neuheisel fired.

Pam Licavoli– Didn’t take long (firing Neuheisel).

Jason Douglas Lewis– It had to happen, but you know, the problems there go way deeper than Rick Neuheisel.

Chavlier Brown– This is sad. As a native LA resident, it is shameful to see UCLA with such a weak football program. A school in the heart of a city with 8 million people! There is way to much talent out there! Fire the entire staff and start fresh! Clearly the good ole boy network is not working..LOL!

Talmadge Morning Jr.– Should have hired Dewayne Walker (former UCLA defensive coordinator. He was interviewed for the job just before Neuheisel was hired. He more than likely would have kept the inner city pipeline open.)
